Post: Turtle Beach PX21 // Question! v2

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello guys i posted a thread a few days ago asking for help with my headset. Thanks to you guys i made the decision to exchange them for a working pair. But Now heres my second dilemma with these...

I havnt needed the mic yet so im just using the headset to sound whore (Awwee yeeah). So i turn on the mute function but my friend tells me he hears random's voice echo's coming from my 'muted' mic. So then i ear turn the chat volume all the way down so i cant hear any voices yet my friend says its still there and i look up and notice that when other people talk my talk indicator next to the mini map shows up even tho its muted and i cant even hear it! The only way i can stop this is if i either mute the people (not what i want to do with my team) or go to the assesory settings and turn off the mic from there (annoying, and doesnt solve the problem).

Can anybody help please? And also my last mic did this too so to have the same defect on too different headsets is unlikely.

Any help is appreciated! thank you, trizo

No matter WHAT, it SHOULD NOT echo if you have a headset. Unless you have it on MAX volume, there is no way the sound would be loud enough to cause an echo. My friend was complaining to me about this too, but I was trying to tell him that I have a fking headset on and the echo is not me. Turns out it was my friend with some Tritton AX-180's. I think he readjusted the cords or something. I have no problem with my 720's, but it goes through the optical port, maybe it's a problem with the game, and the red and white cords?

my turtle beaches do the same exact thing, but the only difference with me is that i have the dpx21, since you have the px21 you cant really do anything about it but on the dpx 21 you can just lower the input volume

You're saying your friend can actually hear echo's? My PX21's show that my mic is making noise when it's off but my friends never say they are echoing. If it is actually your mic making the problems then try turning the input volume (or something like that) down from the mic page thing from the XMB.

Thanks. I shall try that. And yes, he says he can here people talking then theres an echo but he though it was mine. SO he muted the people talking and sure enough he could still hear their echo from my mic.

It must be my setup because ive had two of these in 2 days doing the same thing. But i dont think i could have screwed up on it, its a fairly straight forward setup. Its HDMI btw.

That's your problem right there. They aren't supposed to work with an HDMI cord, what's your setup? They are just like the Tritton AX-180's, they only work through the red and white composite cables.
