(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This is a little different from a "how did you find ngu" thread. It's more like a chance to give your fellow members a brief history lesson on yourself as it pertains to gaming. Was sitting here bored, and thought it'd be a good idea. So what the hell here goes.

My history in gaming.

When i was about 10, I started playing Doom on win 95. I loved the game so much that I learned everything about it and even played it online over a shitty dial up connection! Later on when I got bored with that, my dad bought me this developers package thing for Doom, where you could create your own stuff for it, like characters, guns, sounds, maps etc... I quickly learned that you could use these things to your advantage to cheat in online play, by making an extremely tiny character that no one could possibly shoot.

Later on in life, after about 7 years of extensive guitar learning, I came back to the gaming world with playstation 2 and started finding glitches in GTA San Andreas. I searched online for glitches, but was never a part of any gaming forum, just basically leeched off of them. It wasn't until about 2006 that I stumbled upon exohax.com while searching for some Resistance: Fall of Man glitches. I registered there and remained basically unknown to everyone until I started a glitching crew (that I later learned had existed before my time) called Glitch The World with some of the members on exohax.

After exohax, everyone moved to the new site, nextgenboards. It was a smaller community back then, and some say it was perhaps the greatest time to be around. It was around that time that I changed my name from Internetfilth to FierceKnucks, my psn name. Glitch The World was still going strong in those days, and we even had good ol' Outsider come along and do some glitches with us. We were actually the first clan to find the "slow method" of glitching on RFOM after the collision point glitches were patched, but some other shitty clan that will remain nameless took the credit for it. Credit wars were rampant back then as well. A thing not seen since the passing of map glitches in next generation games. (well I'm sure it still happens)

Then there was some drama that involved Outsider and a person he was hosting NGB with (not going to name names), and NGU was made. I still remember being in the shoutbox when people were saying we could finally come register here. And basically the rest is history. I had a brief period of absence in which my account was lost, and I had to resign up, which meant I lost my original member #, but who cares. I've enjoyed the ride.

Post your history and we'll all have a read at it.

OVER 9000!
First of all, nice thread knucks, I initially thought it was just a thread about just how/why you signed up on NGU, I was going to post something along the lines of Outsider telling me to hop in the van for candy but I'm glad it wasn't about that.

My story will probably suck, and not worth reading due to me being dyslexic/stupid but......

Basically my gaming story started on Christmas of 1996, Where Santa( Cool Man (aka Tustin) ) gave a PS1 for me and my older brother to share, among other presents. I remember some of the games me and my brother would play over the many years we enjoyed it, Bob the builder(my fave, lol), Doom, Ridge Racer, Mission Impossible, James Bond and some game I don't remember the name of, it was a weird game where you controlled cartoon creatures that would swear and you could kill eachother... My mum didn't let me have the sound on when I played that xD. My brother mostly just played DOOM though.. I wasn't allowed to watch my brother even play that lol.

Skip ahead the PS1 years then came along Christmas 2002, when Santa once again gave us one of the Best presents ever, the PlayStation 2. The games I remember playing the most were the GTA series, MGS3, and the Gran Turismo games. For whatever reason I don't remember much but I remember me and my brother played through MGS3 atleast 10 times, don't know why but it was so awesome every time. The same could be said about GTA, we would play that all the time, there's just something beyond fun about driving fast cars, killing people, and free-roaming such a large city and in such good graphics. After awhile we had also gotten internet, and played some games online like COD2(I think). I didn't play that game that much as I sucked at it. There was also free DLC type things you could download online which we soon discovered for MGS3 like different disguises/face paints/missions which made us play MGS3 even more.

Then I got a PS3 for my birthday, my brother by then already had one and didn't live at my parent's house anymore and he had his own. The first games I got for that were MGS4 and Rachet and Clank(whatever one came with the PS3). After playing through the singleplayer of both of those a few times in the first few months I hooked up the PS3 to the internet, signed up for PSN under the user adogalog (just a random word, lol) and started playing Metal Gear Online(MGO was a part of the MGS4 game) under the same name, as your username on there was different than your PSN, and I obviously wasn't feeling very creative at the time xD. I was an extreme noob for many months, some of my most noobiest memories are thinking the ping bar meant how good you were, which I believed even more since I did better on full green connection, due to less lag lol. After playing for awhile one day I got into an Australian server and met some cool guys who would go on to be my best mates online, Shatter_Proof, LegendaryHero, DESM8U, and REBELYELL89. They were all running under the clan name =[OBF]= and were already friends, I got onto the other team, fought quite well but ofcourse because of their far more experience and my sucky team we did lose in the end, I quickly added them as friends after talking to them for awhile, and insisted I atleast trial for their clan, eventually I got in and we were some of the best in Australia.

After quite awhile us Aussies were sick of being in the European server, as the official tournaments were held on European servers, so we lagged and everyone else had full bars which was really holding us back. Despite the lag we were all in the top 1000 individually and top 100 as a clan.

Eventually though we all ordered Japanese MGO discs, as we would lag alot less over there, we played casually but the games enjoyment really died for all of us, and our real lives were alot better, and my connection issues got really annoying for the clan so we all basically drifted apart and stopped playing. Atleast by the end of it our clan was the highest ranked on the server and I was 2nd individually, behind a lagswitcher hated by everyone, us stopping playing really saddened me as these were my best mates online for the past 3 years even as I type this it gets slower and more saddening just thinking of how long its been since I talked to some of these guys, and they all lived elsewhere so we never did meetup... Some short time before quitting MGO and PS3 completely, I signed up on here, NGU under yet again the same username adogalog for the Metal Gear Online forums which have been deleted since.

After quitting MGO I just went on with life without any sort of gaming/online whatnot as did the other OBF members. Eventually I bought CoD4, started coming back here and posting often, then bought MW2, then an xbox and Black Ops, but thats all boring and I don't want to bother talking about it, it was just casual mostly, but I did get top 1000 ranked on MW2 and CoD4 for kills and score. Those games seemed more of a chore than fun, they were too easy online and it was repetitive.

If you've bothered reading the whole thing, thanks, I appreciate it as it took a damn long time to write, its honestly the longest thing I've written whilst writing about a single topic.

And yes, I'm a nerd of sorts, but not a no-lifer, I have a job, girlfriend and friends, which is all that matters to me at this point in time.

When i was little (like when i was about 5 or 6), my parents got pulled out the original nintendo and i used to play mario and stuff like that. I then got a Gameboy and played Pokemon, that was some good shit back then, and i also play splinter cell but really sucked at that.

A few years later, the playstation 1 was released. I played mainly racing games because thats what i was into back then, oh and some tony hawk.

Some years passed and i finally got the ps2 when it was released. The first few the ps2 was released, i played Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4 because thats what the cool kids where playing at the time. And then one day I saw GTA Vice City and GTA 3, and i just had to get it because i loved playing GTA at my friends house. GTA Vice City was one of the best games i have ever played.I then played GTA San Andreas and thought it was way funner than Vice City.
A few years later i bought San Andreas and looked up cheats so i could kill people and not get busted (muahaha).

When the ps3 was released, i got it after about a month it was out. My 1st game was some shitty racing game that came with it.
The 1st time i played cod was at my cousins house on his 360. We played cod 3 campaign and i loved it, so i thought i mite buy it on ps3.

I then bought a ps3 magazine from the newsagency. I read it and i was amazined because GTA 4 was coming out and it sounded amazing. I got it the day it came out.

I loved GTA 4 that much that i finally decided to get online. My original account was like lvl 7/10 on GTA 4.I then forgot my password so i just made a new account.

I liked cod 3 so much that i bought waw. I didnt really play it online.

I then made my third psn account, it was called juzzy_IZ_HERE.

My cousin then told me about this amazing game called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I just had to get it (couple of months too late there). When i first started mw2 i was noob, i was on lvl 10 for 2 weeks. I then got used to it.

I was looking for mw2 cheats, when suddenly, i stumbled apon ngu.

i wasnt activate much on ngu, and if i was, i was leeching hahaha. I then joined a clan called BaNg, my first ever gaming clan. I soon left them to join OwN, they were good. I had my 1st ever clan battle with OwN. I was then kicked out of OwN so i made my own clan called OwND to piss them off. I was unsuccessful so i tried to join my friends clan called XiL3, but they didnt like me and didnt let me join because i was a noob. I then went on to make a clan called KhAoTiiC but was recruiting through ngu. My first member was on here and his name is ModernWarfare7 (he is now one of my really good psn friends). KhAoTiic was successful but i soon realised KhAoTiiC was dying because alot of members hadnt been on, so i join my friends clan called KAOS, they were later called PsE*. The co-leader didnt wont me in his clan so he kicked me from PsE*. I went off to start A$K*. A$K* was successful for the 1st few weeks but idn what happened after that. I also join BONK, they were a very good clan.

Black Ops was then released and I added ModernWarfare7 on his psn account. I also added randoms (haha) and added one called Snoosnou. Mw7 and snoo were in a clan called E2N*, so i thought i mite tryout. I made it and it was all good. E2N* was very successful but recently ended. But, fortunately, i joined my friend RoYaL_iinsaniity's sub clan called RoYaL. RoYaL is my current clan.

I started online gaming with COD4.
I was getting my ass kicked so often I started looking online for help.
I was basically too lazy and incompetant to learn how to glitch myself.
Some things never change!!!
