The issue is that it didn't come with any discs and my friend says he doesn't have any.

If my understanding is correct, I need these pinnacle programs to record my xbox gameplay onto my computer. I looked on the pinnacle website and they cost quite a bit of money.

I don't need the super fancy one (but I'd like it) - is there any way I could get these programs needed to record my gameplay for free or cheaper? I'm alright with torrenting or downloading them.

Also, can I use a different program to record it to my computer/do I need a program at all? If so what is it?

Furthermore, once I get this program... what cables will I need?

What would the settings be for the dazzle to record in the highest quality available?

Pinnacle studio 12 is what i used.

You need a composite cable with 3 spliters theres tons of tuts on youtube.

Your friend should have recieved a disc with his Dazzle. If he didn't then he must have bought it 2nd hand. You can most likely get the relevant software from the internet somewhere.
