Who would think that a Game such as this would help someone in their time of needs? After reading this article; You must login or register to view this content., You will think differently to games especially ones of this nature.

This article, for you guys who haven't read it, is about a son and his mother who at the the time of this happening were having a rough time due to the divorce between the parents but stayed close by playing the video game called World of Warcraft.

Kirk, nearing the age of 50, Writes that she usually refuses her son's request to spend his allowance on a Warcraft installation disc and subscription. "Until my husband delivered the 10-minute fatwa: he wasn't happy, had never been and wanted (or already had) the younger girlfriend," she writes in Salon. "Without warning, I joined a great and storied company: the Unwanted."

After realising the true potentials of World of Warcraft, She herself explored the world of Azeroth while completing dungeons and such with her son, learning qualities of his personality that she wouldn't have seen otherwise, as well as discovering people and herself in the process.

She ends the article with a few tips of the Game:

''So here are my "WoW" lessons, thanks to my son: Adversity earns experience that levels you up and gives you more power. I don't advise you to head heedlessly into an unexplored place; monsters can smack you down without warning. Read the rule book first. On the other hand, exploring can lead you to a particularly choice piece of treasure. Caution and adventure can be compatible, in other words.''

What felt surprising at the end, Is the fact that the game was played socially, and By that I don't mean unseriously, They took their time and learnt things they hadn't known about each other before. Kirk played with her son, and treasured the moments to bits. "He sat with me and hugged me and helped me fire-blast Scarlet Hunters and retrieve crates stolen by Dustwind Harpies," Kirk writes. "Through these wild characters, all the gore and running, with the shrill shriek of Decayed Morlocks in my ears, I felt his love."

I highly encourage you guys to read the article, and please share your own experiences in your posts.

Until then, I hope you learnt a thing or two, that maybe games aren't as bad as people think they are, especially MMORPG's. I myself don't play WoW but I do have a couple of friends who play it and I have to agree, I have learnt a few things about the game.
