As some of you may know Google has been working on their own OS. The Cr-48, and from what I have seen it looks like a full size netbook.

  • Qualcomm Gobi 3G chip for Verizon data in the US, your carrier of choice internationally.
  • 802.11n dual-band WiFi.
  • 8+ hours of active use.
  • 8+ days of standby.
  • Only one USB port.
  • Webcam.
  • Flash storage.
  • Intel Pine Trail processor.
  • 100MB of free Verizon data.

I don't like that it doesn't have a hard drive, there is only flash storage at the moment. Then again its still in the Beta stage. There also doesn't seem to be a desktop. Where/how would you install programs etc., if there is no desktop. This would mean we would be relying on Google to release a lot of applications. Or would they give us the ability to create our own, who knows.

Un-boxing from a tester.

Info on Chrome Os,

Would you get it? Tell me below.

Looks pretty sweet but I think I'd rather have a more reliable OS that has experience in making OS. Anyways I signed up to be a beta tester for it but I guess I lost :(

I think I would install it on another partition just to play around with it. See what the pros/cons are.
