Treyarch: It would be 'fantastic' to make near-future Call of Duty

Treyarch admitted that they would really enjoy making a near future Call Of Duty. When they were asked by Machinima "Would you like to make a Call Of Duty set in the near future" Head of Game Design, David Vonderhaar said: "I think the answer is 'yes.'



Its fresh news so there isn't enough information to confirm that the plans will go ahead but. But it has been confirmed that last May Activision has registered domain names for, Call of Duty: Future Warfare, Advanced Warfare, Secret Warfare and Space Warfare.

What do you guys think, will this go ahead, or will it turn into Halo?
Activison is running out of Wars to set there game in, so is this the future? We will haft to wait and see.

I'd like a future-ristic CoD but not too far into the future (Alien guns, armored people, Halo...)

I was gonna say the past but then I remembered that some of the call of duty series, well most of it was set from WWI to the Cold War etc..You should apply for News Reporter, I've seen a couple of your threads, pretty good.

Werd then your going to see flying people, with 1 shot assault rifles.

I wouldn't like it if it was like HALO. I would like it with say maybe guns like the ones from zombies (the pack a punch versions). Armor would be okay if it was like the gordan freeman armor.

I've got to admit, Halo and CoD need to stay apart from each other. If they did both become 'Space wars' they would haft to fight for sales.

Future Warfare? Yes. Space Warfare? No.
