(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Twenty-one-year-old Robert Michelson from Connecticut innocently called 911 to find out how much trouble he'd get into for growing marijuana and was promptly arrested by officers.

Cannabis advice sought from police (PA)
Michelson was reportedly told by the police dispatcher that growing pot was illegal and was warned he could be arrested. So he did what any polite citizen would do - he quickly said thank you for the advice and hung up the phone.
Unfortunately for him, officers already had his details and he'd rather stupidly told the controller there was 'possibly' a crime going on at his home, so they went to the property where they seized a small quantity of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
The hapless grower was released on $5,000 (£3,100) bail after being charged with marijuana possession and other crimes.
He admitted he bought the seeds and equipment with the intention of growing the drug.
Northamptonshire Police detained a 17-year-old teenager recently after the not-so-bright lad decided to set up a Facebook page through which to sell his drugs.

Wow what a fail he had to be stoned or something when he called because anyone that knows what they are doing knows that it is illegal. Thanks for the news :420:

LOL 911 Is For Emergencies ONLY/facepalm

WHat a moron. If he wanted to ask that he could of just ask the Chief of Police by calling the Police Station instead of 911. I have asked that before and they actually answer my question really polite. In the US is a felony to call 911 if its not an emergency so he was probably fined for that. :420:
