While other parts of Activision's vast empire are slowly dying, the Call of Duty seriies is still going stron. A long with the news they were cutting the Guitar Hero franchise and True Crime: Hong Kong, Activision announced it has created a new studio, Beachhead.

Beachhead is going to focus on "digital content" for the Call of Duty franchise. In practice, that means they will create an all-new digital content portal and community experience. This new "portal" has been in development for around a year and sounds in concept like a combination of ideas behind platforms like Valve's Steam and Halo Waypoint.
So now we have another studio and this will obviously bring new things to the table for the content of the games.
PS. Sorry I couldn't do a proper article on this because I am on my iPod :p

I don't like it. They should just look at COD4 and try to replicate that into a newer dressed up game. Add a few guns, beef up the graphics and make better maps.
