It's about time Sony had some twist to its advertising campaigns, at least that's what I think after watching this 'Playstation 3' Ad that was made by 29-year-old Ben McCambridge, who had spent US$6,000 from his own pocket, he was able to create this ad, spending most of the money on shooting permits in Los Angeles. Now, You may be thinking that 6 Grand is a lot, guess what. Your wrong! It's well below the current average amount of money spent on the High tech adverts of our time.
McCambridge is an assistant editor working in Los Angeles, cutting commercials. "I've worked on dozens of commercials and thought I'd try my hand at making one myself," he says in an Interview. "At the end of the day I made it because I'm a gamer, wrote it down, and liked the idea."
He sees the Plasyation 3 as a world were people/Kids can escape from reality to the Cyber world, from Playing 'Reznov' in Black ops to earning the 'Carbon X1 2010' in Gran tourismo 5 there is nothing anyone can't do/see in the world of Gaming.
It seems like when someone sets their eye on something/ a Goal, their aim is always set in stone.
This does look good, but it does make me think that of all the 18-Rated games on PS3, an Advert revolved around Kids isn't exactly the best choice of themes.
So this guy wants kids to get in school fights, join the army, be a schizophrenic, hallucinate about going to the moon and for kids to sneak out of the house.
Damn that's a good advertising campaign :y:
