We all remember reading books by Dr. Seuss when we were kids. He made all kinds of famous children's books like Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, etc.
What most people don't know is that before he wrote children's books, he was a political cartoonist during the WW2 era. Many of his children's books actually contain references to events that occurred during the war. Some of his political cartoons are crude and racist, and it surprised me to see that they are really the work of Dr. Seuss.
