And I just realized how skinny I actually am. I need to put on some serious weight and also build some muscle. Do you have any suggestions on the best way to achieve this goal before the summer?

For your issue of gaining weight, there is a probabilty that you may have high metabolism:

For gaining muscle, you're at a young age, therefore it would be a great age for building muscle as your muscles would generally recover faster and build up more efficiently.

For muscle building I would suggest go heavy (and I mean heavy) weights and low reps (amount of lifts, pulls, etc).
For building body energy, stick to low weights and high reps.

Drinking protein shakes will help your muscles recover faster from soreness. If you have never been sore before, understand that the first time is always a bitch but you will eventually develop to it.

Playing a sport will really help and with your body size I'd say a non contact sport. During the season just do what you're supposed to and you'll build muscle. Even playing volleyball.. x)

Im doing this atm to gain weight;

Weight Gain- It's a powder that you mix with water/milk or something to make a kinda smoothie then drink it!

This is one of the best ones for price arround..

LMAO that is the exact protein I got in the exact same store yesterday, oo I have like a mixer thingy which does the job Winky Winky

Oo and the strawberry one is the most delicious drink I have ever tasted.

Eat lots of carbohydrates and work out, as a few people have probably said just buy a cheap set of weights (if you're UK try argos) then go on youtube and get some exercises. However it will be very hard to gain a decent amount of weight in muscle in a short period of time.

Drink mad protein shakes and drink lots of milk and you will gain weight... also if you are serious about workin out use Glutamine so that you build muscle quicker and dont become so sore the next day

3rd person today on 3 different forums to call me specifically 10. Erm... I'm 15, 16 in 1 month and I just want go gain some muscle.

Join a gym and start eating meat.
Protein shakes, ect.
