The 12th annual CanSecWest conference is being held at the Sheraton Wall Centre hotel in Vancouver from the 9th March until the 11th of March.
The conference is all about the security of digital devices and they are hosting competitions such as the ‘Pwn2Own’ competition.

Each hacker gets thirty minutes to try and hack their device.

Targeted laptops:
- Alienware M11x
-Apple MacBook Air 13"

Targeted mobile devices:
-Dell Venue Pro running Windows 7
-iPhone 4 running iOS
-BlackBerry Torch 9800 running BlackBerry 6 OS
-Nexus S running Android

The attempts will be recorded and released after the competition.

Anyone who is successful wins the device, $15,000, and 20,000 “ZDI reward points” which can be used to get prizes such as a $5,000 cash payment and paid travel and registration to attend the DEFCON hacking conference in Las Vegas.

Ive heard of this before, Its a great way of getting alot of money

Big things get big prizes, also they will probably get offered a job for security on the company.

I should sign up and hack them with an axe.
