(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); A rumoured internal video from Microsoft originating from May 2010, apparently reveals the firm's ambitious plans to move PC gaming on Windows machines forward, potentially tying Xbox Live, Avatars, Bing and other Microsoft services together into a single all-encompassing package.

Unearthed by ZDNet, the video shows Microsoft's supposed vision for a next-gen 'WGX' or 'Windows Game eXperience'. It's a plan that could involve incorporating Xbox Live Avatars into PC games, while granting quick and easy access to social and casual games such as FarmVille and Bejeweled. There's support for micro-transactions too, that include purchasing new items for your Avatar or things like weapons to take into shooters and share with friends.

The video also shows options for tailoring your online identity with your Avatar, as well as seamless integration into Windows, meaning that a friend can interrupt you for a quick game, while you're fiddling with pie charts or something. Again, the features shown in the video are only rumored, so don't take this as gospel. It does look very interesting though.
