Ok so what i need to know is i have a few DVD-R's with home movies and stuff on them i put on from my old video camera. Now i need to know how i can rip these onto my harddrive and upload it to youtube. For example one of the videos has a part of my friend fuccin around and i want to know what kind of program i can use to rip only that 2 or 3 minute segment so i can upload it to youtube. Any help will be much appreciated.
You can use a program like DVD Decrypter or IMGBurn (same thing really IMGBurn is just the modern dev of the DVD Decrypter software as far as I know) to rip the DVD files to your PC. Then you need a program that will let you playback .VOB files. I used VirtualDubMod back in the day but I'm sure someone else here can recommend something better/easier to use. VDubMod takes a little time to figure out and it sounds like you're wanting something more user friendly.
