I want to discuss why many people are doing this for . Its not neccesairly " Giving back to the community'. Im also going to talk about the three types of giveaways the Legit ones , The Scams , and the Setups

Well YouTube Partners is a Program for High Subscriber YouTubes . How it works is simple. If you have alot of trafic (Subs , Views , Favorites , and Comments) . You may apply for this program . YouTube then looks at your Channel for a bit , They get back to you. So if you made now you get the benifets . Things like a better background . Also you know get revenue with google . How it works is advertisemnts appear from your video . Now you are getting paid by How many people are going to the advertisers website as well as your traffic . Now how do give aways connect to this? Plain in simple

Ok Guys these are people like xJawz on YouTube . Now he did stop doing these videos . But i wanted to show you what he did . He used his revenue from machinama and his channel ( not all of his paycheck) . To buy prizes ( Headsets , consoles , games , gift cards,etc) . Pretty simple he used the equation to his advantage and a lucky audience member (s) would get the prize.

Pretty self explaniatory , They would buy a prize (s) and then make a fancy video . Get all from the equation . Then he would keep/return the prize to the store /owner .

These giveaways are very simple . They aren't very common but they work . Its actually similar to the scammers . They would get a friend to enter the contest . Return /keep the prize and then make it as if they won the prize .

Well i hope you learned something . This is the final thing i want to point out . All Giveaways have benifets . Giveaways from a non partner will give them more traffic . Next time think about the YouTube giveaway before entering it .

In essence, you can just say you're doing a give away, especially when you're really popular already. People will think that it's real, because, they know that they have a 1/1000000000 chance of actually winning. So it's a win-win for you; always. I don't think that's what you meant, but that's the first thing that came to my mind when I read a few words on this lol.
But some cool youtubers e.g. Muzza, or wb7thst; who have A LOT of machinima money, really do some sick legit giveaways.

It's more than obvious that it works, whiteboy7thst is an EXTREMELY good example, that guy used to get about 20-50k views per video with about 150k subs then one day he made a video saying he had some extra money from his machinima videos so he would do a giveaway (It was definitely a genuine giveaway not an attempt at views or anything, this guy is a cool guy). Then he gained a shitload of views compared to normal, so he did it again, and again, and again. Then he got multiple videos over millions of views so he knows he has more than enough money to keep doing it.

He also ended up getting #1 on the most subscribed in the world for this month, ahead of people like freddiew and raywilliamjohnson.

It worked out extremely well for that guy, he's catapulted himself twice as far in less than 30 days, he also has three youtube channels with partnership now, his 2nd channel has 60k subs and his third has 20k subs. He also uploads to all three of them regularly as he does this as his job.

Personally I'm happy that he did it, I watch his videos from time to time and it's always good when someone you like/know is doing better off than at any point in time before. And really, he's giving stuff away just in exchange for you commenting and rating a video, it takes less than 5 seconds, it's not a horrible thing.

Youtube is full of money whoring fags and a bunch of sub hungry 10 year olds, I can only handle so much drama between NGU and youtube
