Virtusphere, Inc. develops and markets a locomotion platform that allows
users to be completely immersed into their interactive virtual experience

How it works: Virtusphere consists of a 10-foot hollow sphere, which is placed on a special platform that allows the sphere to rotate freely in any direction according to the user’s steps. Wearing a wireless, head-mounted display the user is able to walk and run being immersed into virtual environment. The movement by the user is replicated within the virtual environment. The same hardware set can be used for different applications by changing only the software applications.

Not really. Virtualboy is just a controller and glasses, virtusphere allows complete physical control of walking/movement etc.

God forbid you would have to put more into your answer than "No", I wouldn't want you to strain yourself just to contribute to the thread.

OT: This is one of those things you have to try at least once, looks too good to pass up. And I would definitely want to try this when I'm high, although I might possible get scared out of my mind :p

I could imagine playing Battlefield 3 in it when the game comes out :embarrassed:

Did I elaborate enough?

Now my turn Winky Winky

Could you imagine everybody using these things as a means of transportation?

You could play Battlefield in the parking lot on your break.

This could potentially cut down the amount that people smoke throughout the day. This would fill the gap between school and sleep.

Spoiler alert I am a genius.

This is pretty cool! Good find!

If this does catch on it solves one issue with games, little to no physical activity. My only concern is price, I wouldn't mind saving up for a year or two to get one. But if it's over 2grand then I don't think it'd be worth it. Then again I'm doing my best to save up 10grand for something else so maybe I'm just being a tard.
