(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Scenario:
You are currently employed as an I.T Technician at a local college. The college currently employs 250 full-time and part-time teaching and clerical staff, as well as 2,500 students being enrolled on different part-time and full-time courses. All staff that have been issued with laptops has external access to all college documents on the shared drive through a Virtual Private Network (these can be classed as external customers).

Lately, the college has been experiencing problems with one of their ‘shared’ drives on the network – which is quickly running out of space. Your line manager has asked you to detail the potential impact of any faults on the system and the impact that this will have on staff, students and any external customers.
Tas:

Also, one of the computer rooms being used to teach students in has computers that have been used for the last 3 years - the college policy is to replace or upgrade computers on a 4 year basis – these computers have another year left to run before being replaced. The computers have access to the college network but are on a separate server to the rest of the college. Users of the computers in these rooms are experiencing problems with accessing the college domains (intermittently) and the internet. You have been asked by your line-manager to detail the impact that this is having on users of the system.

In addition, the college also has a website whereby potential students can view courses of interest and submit an application form online.
Any part-time courses that people want to enrol on to can be paid for online through the college website and this information can then be viewed by registry to see the potential number of students that the classes will have each term.

In addition, the college has recently been experiencing problems with its internet access and hosting their site. Some data has recently been ‘hacked’ in to and people’s personal details have been stolen.

What impact will this problem have on the college and customers?
What can the college do to prevent losing any further personal data?

please can somebody give me some guidance :\

so many thanks if you can help...

This will have impact on the trustworthiness you're getting as company from the customers. Possible fix for your issues are checking for bugs in the part of your system that contacts with the database.

At least I can fight
Well the only thing to do would be change passwords, and update security.
May loose staff and students if their details are being stolen because of the college security being rubbish
