(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi there guys!

It's a long time since I've made a thread and as I posted on my Twitter I am back here full time for my reasons after discussing things with a certain good friend of mine.

My thread today is discussing the presence of our great forum at game reveals and midnight openings and those kind of things.

At the Call of Duty: Black Ops midnight release I gave out flyers I had created before the event. I printed them out in colour (200 A4 pages which gave me 400 flyers) and cut them all to size.

As people lined up I'd get my partner Amy to hold my place in line and I'd walk down having a chat with the people in the line, I'd then give them the flyer for our forum I'd created. Everyone said thank you and I have had people see me since in the Mall and say thank you and that they joined up after they checked it out.

At the end of the night I'd given away 260 flyers. That's 260 people who could tell 2 of their friends about our forum, that is then 520 more members who could tell 2 of their friends etc, you see where I'm going with this.

My point is, if you have some charisma try doing this, or even if you see people in a gaming store looking at games just strike up a conversation and say:

Hey, I noticed you looking at <insert game here>. I really enjoy that game, there is a website called You must login or register to view this content. that helped me with it a lot, you should check it out!

Let's all contribute and get our great forum out there so we can get more ACTIVE users and then we can organise some other things such as competitions and such. Everyone benefits from this and all it takes is for you to strike up a 2 minute conversation or hand out some flyers.

If you don't want to do either of those, think up your own way of doing it! The above is just how I do it!

This is the flyer I gave away, GFX people feel free to make your own but I'll be editing this for every major game release as often as I can.

Thanks for reading guys!

I remember a post that schaffin made about what NGU could become. NGU needs to become more official before we could hand out flyers or advertise in flash ads on the web.

By all means, bloody good job giving up time and money giving out flyers.
