Ahhh first whats your needs, if your going to college definitely MacBook Pro/ Video music editing. PC: budget not great, constant problems, bad os. Sorry im to lazy to go in depth because you didn't put your needs out. :lol: Anyways best to go w/ mac more reliable computer: sexy & long battery life. Owner of a MBP 2011! :dance:

tony, well i am 14 and just need a new laptop, gonna use for my ftp site and use vb 2010 to make programs and use it for like anything!

Basic thing. MacBooks are like college/chilling computer. Our family all have macs.But windows is good for stuff like making programs, editing stuff, hacking all that stuff. And also there are way more programs on windows then MAC. Also what are you needs. I am using a mac book pro got it a little over a year i5, its just great. costed a lot though way more then windows 2.1k my mom said.

Hahaha well I am 16 & I produce/record music so for me it wasn't a waste of money for my parents, oh I also do photography on the side a little bit. So I would say just get a pc w/ upgraded memory 1920x1080 resolution on pc. Or if you can afford definitely go for the MBP never a macbook, plus the new ones came out under 2 months ago while the regular MacBooks haven't been updated in like 11 months. Plus its only $200 more then the MB & you can upgrade, where you can't on a macbook. Hope i helped a little bit

i saw a thing called like bootcamp or something for mac so you can install windows 7 on it then on start up it ask what u want to run!

Plus MACs are the only pc allowed to run mac os! :catfight: Along with the fact that you use bootcamp/virtual machine/parrales to run windows or linux.

Yea you can get windows for it, but i suggest getting a external hard drive for it, takes up a lot of memory. Go big or nothing. Mac book pro

Yeah it has dual core i5 vs old outdated core 2 duo. Same battery life & more sexy/ durable.

I know im my friend has MAC os 1.7 lion dmg but i'm scared to put it on cause its not fully developed & i don't have an external hdd:dumb:
