(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So me and a few mates were arguing will they/not get the rewards and we cannot agree.

1. First of all, It was a government mission. The government isn't going to pay their agents for simply doing their job. They were sent in to do a mission for their government and country, not for a prize. They will get no $25 Million.

2. Secondly, there was more than one person who performed the mission. On the news they found out it was a sniper who delivered the final shot to the head that killed him. So who claims the reward? The sniper who killed him, or the other team members who entered the building, went one on one with everyone inside, and cornered Bin Laden in a spot were the sniper got an easy opening? Or would they all split it? They get no $25 Million.

3. The people who performed the killing were and are unnamed and will forever be, according to Obama. Their reward will be a pat on the back, a congratulatory handshake from Obama, and an increase in rank. This is the CIA we're talking about, like they're going to hand over $25 Million so one of their best members can retire. They get no $25 Million.

^--- Not mine
Do you think they should get the money?

Um, I'm not sure. They were doing their job so why give them that big of an award? I can see if a civilian killed him, but this is different...Smile

It's my understanding that the location of Osama started off as a tip. Possible it was a civilian, in which case that person would get the money and a new life out of Pakistan because he/she/they would probably be killed for revealing his location. Problem is, I believe the news said US government agents followed a trusted aide to the location, so it's all government work so the reward wouldn't be given to them.

If they got info from a prisoner through torture, then it's information gained through government action and the reward isn't applicable.

It wasn't the CIA. It was navy SEALS, it also wasn't a sniper shot. I've been following the news on this, since I'm very happy he's out of this world.

And there's a good chance it was a civilian who tipped us off on him, since he lived in a small town known as a "Military village" where pakistani vets lived.
