I love this thread, but I have seen it posted before. Also you didn't provide a source from where you got it and a quick google search found multiple places with the exact same thread.

I know I'm going to get flamed
BUT!
I don't ever get the line with
"you wear you propaganda shirt, yet they fight so you can wear it"
I know it means so we have our freedom but in reality they are not really fighting for our freedom, I'm not saying I don't support and respect the armed forces, I do support them they risk their lives for what they believe in and to protect others I just don't see how they fight for OUR freedom, we are not being risked our Culture is not at risk, so how are they fighting for our rights to freedom? I would feel it would be different if (since videogame forum ill use a videogame) like in the recently released homefront the chinese/(forgot what theyh were )americans are fighting it out to protect our Culture our way of life, the danger there is imminent it's either Fight to protect what makes USA, USA, if we would loose we would succumb into whatever the US government signs on what we are supposed to do under the Koreans/chineese (again can't remmeber which ones they were) document they made us sign. we are still fighting for freedom down in afghanistan not just OUR freedom, we are fighting for their freedom (well not really) we are fighting for their protection so that they can have a stable country and all that stuff, In the end I just don't see how the armed forces fight for Our freedom

Great thread. But do remember, conscription is no longer a law, so anyone in the army has chosen to go in themselves, therefore they know what they are going to do.
