Well, most people frown upon others trying for -rep, (including dopey and AgentJon who will +rep you if you try), but posting useful posts and asking for -rep will help you achieve some.
But posting stupid threads is a whole different story. It will most likely end with you being warned/infracted and hated by most people in the community.

I remember once in the sb, a guy had a neg rep star and people reset him to 0, is that what you mean by that? I dont think you mean "members", just dopey
! He could reset you from -1000 to +5000 in one click of his mouse...
