Hello, a few members didn't know how to create screenshots and put them on the forum, so I'm going to make this guide, and I hope it will help everyone out on making screenshots. And this guide will show you how to get High Quality screenshots, of course...free.

Alright. When you find something you want to make a screenshot of, look on your keyboard for the button Print Scr. It's located right above the "Backspace" button on the keyboard. Once you press Print Scr it will automatically take the screenshot. Now, open up MS Paint ( Microsoft Paint ). Any other programs like Photoshop, Paint.net, or even GIMP will work. Now when you have Paint open, press CTRL + V and it will paste the image your screenshot into Paint.

Optional: You can crop the parts of the images you want, or edit the picture to your what you like.

Now, once you have the image to your likings, or whatever. Go to File > Save As > Then type the name you want to save the picture as, but don't click the Save/Ok button yet! Make sure, on the scroll down button, you save the file type as a .png. If you don't you will have very bad quality, if you want good quality, save it as a .png!

Now, once you have the screenshot saved to where-ever. Go to You must login or register to view this content. and Login or You must login or register to view this content.. Once you have Logged in or you Registerd a new account, click My Albums on the big blue bar.

You must login or register to view this content.

Then, once you have that you should see a little box with the title: Upload Images & Video - Right below it should be a Blue button with white text, saying Upload.

You must login or register to view this content.

Press the button, and a screen will come up. Go to the place where you saved your image, and then double click it. Then Photobucket will start uploading your image! And thats how you get a Advanced Screenshot!

Tips on using Photobucket:

When uploading videos, to select more then one Photo to upload, hold CTRL and select the pictures you want to upload. Then you will be able to upload multiple pictures at once!

You can do this or you can go in the premium section and download FastStone Capture. Do all this is about 3 seconds and you have more options than just capturing the entire screen. You don't have to open paint or any of that you can edit right in the program.

If you're premium go download that, if not PM me and I might be generous. Or do this. FastStone is the best quality, easiest to use, the fastest, and the most efficient.

Daddy's home.
On other thing you didnt mention. On my laptop, and probably on some other peoples keyboards, you have to hold the 'fn' button then press 'prt sc'. You can tell if you need to press fn (function) because the fn button will be in a box, and the other buttons that have a box with writing in need to have the fn button pressed to work Happy

Alright, I don't have a laptop so I didn't know that. I'll add it to the guide, and I will give you some reputation.

I'm just saying that this is all well and good (sound British here) but FastStone is 10x easier and better. And how can something be simple and advanced? Printscreen is just a default FastStone is a program that was focused by a company so they most likely spent more time on it, thus producing a higher quality program.

With FastStone you have a minimizable toolbar with options to capture the full screen, current window, scrolling region, free rectangular region, or if none of those are good you can freehand. It includes features of that in paint and automatically saves it as a PNG and is alot faster to capture, especially with laptops.

You CAN get pretty good images with PrntScrn that are medium quality and may take about 2 minutes to get a screenshot up on Photobucket, but with FastStone you'll have your picture up in 30 seconds and it'll look as if someone is looking at your screen.

Man I should market this product Smile.
