On Top of the Game
Yeah hes a freakish athlete. I mean WHO REALLY IS 7FT TALL AND HAS A 40 INCH VERTICAL. But to really be considered great he has to develop a better post game than just dunking and throwing up that ugly prayer hook that occasionally goes in. I watched him as a rookie in person and he was amazingly athletic but he had no moves or anything to score in a set offense. So if he really does want to be considered on of the best players of all-time then he needs to work on that 24/7 this next summer, but he is solid on defense though getting about 15 boards and 3 blocks per game. He really has no limit so the only thing really stopping him from being great is himself. But for this year Dwight did not really deserve to be on the cover, because other players deserved it more. Kobe Bryant led his team through the season to win the championship with a shaky bench at times and several big injuries to their starters and slumps. Chauncey Billups revived the Nuggets organization almost instantly after being traded for Allen Iverson and led them out of the first round of the playoffs for the first time in franchise history and then to only fall just short of reaching the finals losing the lakers. And then probably the most deserving player is LeBron James since he has almost no help while all the other contending teams have multiple all-stars yet they're favorites to win the finals all because of him. Now you're probably thinking: why does LeBron need this? hasn't he already gotten enough awards? Well, to answer you're question yes he has had several accolades, but did you know he has not even been on the cover before? He truly is a gamechanging player and is already one of the best players EVER (that's right EVER). He changes games by noone being able to guard his size and strength which creates mismatches for his teammates too which makes them look better than they really are. He also has a rare thing a star athlete doesn't normally have: the will to win. He doesn't have any problem dishing it out to a teammate for the win when he could've taken it instead. Kobe is a great SCORER and GOOD DEFENDER, but he does not simply change games just by him being there. LeBron is already in the top 5 best players ever list for me and in a couple years after some championships from him (he will win them whether its for the cavs, knicks or hell even with the clippers he could win it) he will be the greatest player of all time.
