its not that it sounds weird to me, but since watching 'Get Him To The Greek' I can't take a sentence with the word "Greek" in it seriously

As you fail to understand i explain why they are doing it and reasons behind it.
Greece has been living beyond it means for a long time now. The measures in place being voted by government won't save greece.
No matter how much money we push into the nation it can't grow fast enough or rebalance fast enough.

Greece is being given more debt by the EU for just time. At the end of the day greeks need to have the debt restructured so it more stable. Or long term this means writing off a big part of that debt. Your looking at about 70%

EU has two choices let default happen or restructure this problem. Giving them more money won't fix the problem much like what happened with the banking failure it just adds to the problem.

If the EU does a default where it restructures it debt quite easy take the hit. If greece defaults due to the markets with the EU doing nothing to help.

Whole of the EU going to be pulled into a mess.

One which would make the banking crisis look like small fries and possible be the worse recession the world has seen.
Euro nations would fail and euro fall apart.

Of course in real terms greece has already defaulted it just a matter of getting this under control.

Reason why they are protesting is because greeks see pain with little benefit they are right.
Cutting back is not the only answer to fixing a nations debt problem you should look at the root cause.
Problem is that more painful then just cutting back spending.

Irony is EU made this problem by breaking it own rules letting the PIIGS join.

All i know if the EU fails to restructure it debt along with the greek debt. We could see riots across the EU. Making it impossible for governments to run nations.
We are at a turning point here where people running things don't have a clue.

No matter how much austerity won't save the EU. It going to do more damage then good which is what some people been saying. It does not fix the problem.

Only if the EU allows them too.
Now we going to see if the EU has balls or going to take the easy way out. Looks like the easy way out which makes it worse.

Meh all i know is i hope the people who caused this never get a job with banking again.

I agree on everything you said but this quote. The EU didnt cause Greece's structural government problems. This way of life is in the culture of the greek people, and indeed, sending them money isn't going to help. But its crazy to say the european union caused them to live the way they're living now.
