All that sh*t is just a freakin beat, some rhyming about something unimportant, or has no thought put into it. I don't mind songs without lyrics, in fact,I love songs without lyrics sometimes; it puts more emphasis on the instrumentation. That is why I love symphonic, classical (basically the same thing), and heavy metal (not that emo screamo metal wannabe bullshit like slipknot, soilwork, and disturbed).

Anyways, I'm done with my rant about today's music. Lol.

/facepalm

Also rap & hip-hop dont just focus on a beat, they actually have talent...Not much of it nowadays but in the 90's and early 2000's rap was on top, now good rap doesnt get noticied

Well then apparently all of the rap today (the kind of rap/hip hop I was referring to) that I hear is all the mainstream talentless stuff.

It's sad it's all so commercialized. Just comes down to knowing were to look really, sites like Triple.J Unearthed are great for grass roots underground groups trying to make a name and some of their stuff is current and real cause of the struggle. Spend lots of time on Last.Fm looking at groups etc for different meaningful music.

If people are interested there is a great thing called Rapper tag going on on youtube with a few Aussie artists.

Good watch.
