Child abuse is the physical, sexual, emotional mistreatment, or neglect of children. it is not necessarily when parents hit their child, it involves other things to, including sexual abuse, emotional mistreatment, when the parents constantly verbally abuse their children which makes them feel depressed and in some cases suicidal, and neglecting, where the parents don't come home for days, they leave very young kids with no food and no company.

In the United States, 1,730 children died in 2008 due to factors related to abuse; this is a rate of 2.33 per 100,000 U.S. children. Child abuse fatalities are widely recognized as being under-counted; it is estimated that between 60-85% of child fatalities due to maltreatment are not recorded as such on death certificates. Younger children are at a much higher risk for being killed, as are African Americans. Girls and boys, however, are killed at similar rates. Man throws baby over bridge overpass onto traffic

Honolulu police said they are investigating the death of a baby on the H-1 Freeway. Witnesses said that they saw a man throw the infant from the Miller Street pedestrian overpass, but police said they are not sure if the child was alive or dead when the man threw the child. It appears the child was hit by at least two cars, officials said. The toddler was kidnapped from his home and thrown 30 ft. onto the asphalt pavement. The baby died of multiple, blunt force trauma.

Toddler abused so badly, he may have arm amputated

Police say 34 year old Angelo Mendoza bit an eyeball out of his four year old son’s face and ate it. The boy had numerous bites to his hands and his eyes were swollen shut. Doctors said the boy’s left eye and muscle were missing; his other eye is mutilated beyond repair.
Mother high on drugs puts newborn through entire washing machine cycle

A 10 day old infant newborn was killed when her mother, who was reportedly high on drugs, threw the baby into the washing machine where the baby died after going through an entire washing machine cleansing cycle. The infant, Maggie May Trammel, was found by her great aunt, who was inside the Oklahoma home and went looking for the infant after she found her mother passed out on the sofa. According to The NY Daily News, the great-aunt heard a clunking noise coming from the washer machine. When she opened it, she found the newborn dead. The mother, Lyndsey Fiddler, says she doesn’t remember how the baby got inside the washer machine. Fiddler is being charged with child neglect but prosecutors are hoping for a more significant charge, including murder; pending a full investigation.

In another disgusting excuse for human life, a woman’s boyfriend, Carlnelus Delaney Simmons, age 37, reportedly took her 16 month old son, Jabraylon Bables, and dipped him into a pot of boiling water. According to The Dallas Morning News, the baby suffered for 36 days before succumbing to his grotesque and brutal injuries. He was presumably in agonizing pain, as his burns covered most of his lower body and melted the skin off his body and of which subsequently became infected. Jabraylon’s biological father has been in prison most of his young life and has only been able to reconnect with him 2 months prior to the assault on the child. The mother, Jasmine Thompson, appears to be supportive of her boyfriend whom she met after the baby’s father went to prison and who has allegedly tortured her defenseless baby, calling him a “good person”, even though he spent 15 years in prison for murdering another man.
I read that 60% of its intestines were removed because of it, in 1 session of surgery, and even more in another session and the skin below his waist had been burned off, the baby's skin swelled to the point at which its body was not recognisable.

In a gruesome and macabre act of cruciation, an Oklahoma couple, John and Sonja Kluth, ages 50 and 57, have been arrested for allegedly torturing their adoptive children. According to KFOR Channel 4 Oklahoma, the Kluth’s have been accused of “brutal beatings and even feeding their children dog and cat food”. The children were reportedly found extremely malnourished. KFOR reports that authorities were notified when the Kluth’s 15 year son ran away and was later found sleeping in a box behind a retail store. Police reports also indicate that the 15 year old refused to go home and filed the following about the condition of how the boy was found with a broken hand, scars on this abdomen where he was cut with a knife, scars on this abdomen and back where he was burned with utensils, injuries on this neck where he was strangled and swelling to his finger from having his fingers smashed. Court documents also state that the kids, ages 9, 11 and 15, were starved and forced to sleep in dog crates in their home’s cellar. It also states that Sonja Kay Kluth admitted to becoming a monster, allegedly using hot utensils to burn the children but also claims that the kind of discipline she used was necessarily to keep the children under control. The 15 year old boy who ran away suffered from multiple afflictions bestowed by his abusive, adoptive parents and has deformed hands from having them crushed multiple times.
I read on that they have been freed until further investigation finishes.
3 year old brutally beaten to death for wetting his pants

A 3 year old boy, Noah Fake, is the victim of a senseless, violent attack at the hands of his mother. He was beaten repeatedly by his 26 year old mother and her 33 year old boyfriend for wetting his pants. The boyfriend, Steven Neil, was not the baby’s father. The baby’s mother, Robin Greinke, admitted to police, according to an Orange County, Florida police report that she and her boyfriend tossed the toddler, spanked him and punched him. According to the Orange County Medical Examiner’s report, the toddler died from blunt force trauma to the head. The Palm Beach News reports that the couple may have been under the influence of alcohol and pills at the time. Investigators say that the couple ate pizza and watched a movie, going about their business while the baby fought for his life. They apparently chose to carry on with their plans, instead of seeking medical help for the baby. Robin Greinke allegedly considered getting the boy help but her boyfriend wanted to wait to see if he recovered overnight on his own. The next morning, the couple called 911 because little Noah wasn’t breathing. The baby boy was rushed to the hospital but ultimately succumbed to his abuse and died. The boyfriend has a child, around the same age, with another woman in Florida who was found to have a court injunction against the man for domestic abuse. Noah’s mom and her boyfriend are currently in custody, charged with murder

Give your used clothing, furniture and toys for use by another family. This can help relieve the stress of financial burdens that parents sometimes take out on their kids.
Volunteer your time and money for programs in your community that support children and families, like parent support groups or day care centers.
