(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OK, so I am from Dallas (Texas) and when I saw this article, I was like "WTF"?? Most of the world is so late on this, this has been going on for decades.....Its sad that its just now getting out to the world as of now.
Street gangs are quickly migrating from America’s inner city to its suburbs and small towns says a new National Gang Center study.

According to the report, 55 percent of all gang activity occurs in big cities, while 41 percent occurs in outlying suburbs in our smaller cities.

In Houston, Tex., officers say kids as young as 10 years old are joining gangs because they are looking for “leadership…guidance….connection…and a sense of belonging.”

A new study shows that gangs are no longer just an inner city problem. The National Gang Center recently released a study that estimated 55 percent of all gang activity occurs in big cities, and 41 percent occurs in either suburbs or smaller cities. This adds up to a lot of kids being involved in gang life.

A school official also pointed out that it’s not only tough kids that are recruited. Gangs often talk to those who are bullied in school, promising them protection and acceptance.

That's horrible man. Young child shouldn't join gang 'cause you know how it goes - once you join, there's no way leaving it. It'd be horrible how child lost their bright fututre just cause of gangs, etc.

damn shame, they laying off all these teachers and staff but yet crime and gang activity is still rising. so what are they going to do about all this now since they took "ISS" (In School Suspension) out of the schools now and really going to drop rate on suspending a kid? No
