(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); if you want to flame just dont even reply please thanks if the mods really close this then wow

to all the footbal players out there you will understand, I was a football player for all four years of high school for this school, all state half back, every friday night we would begin with a prayer that basically said the same thing each week to watch over both teams and the fans to ensure there well being and so on, then a formal prayer over the loud speaker would follow
i wont go into it all to much because of some non believers, but i will say that this story linked below is utter bs, i graduated in 2009

if they wouldve done this to our team we wouldve been devastated

Well as an atheist, I myself would li.....WAIT PUT DOWN THE GUN! LET ME SAY SOMETHING. Anyways, the rules state that the school itself cannot lead a prayer. HOWEVER, student themselves CAN pray anytime they want to. If the players themselves want to pray before a game then they can do it, just like the Islamic players can do who really cares cause we hat ethem for you know, being different then us Mericans and the atheist in the team can ummm well atheist will prob just think your idiots for thinking a god will help you in a high school football game. Players can still pray whenever and wherever as long as it doesn't interfere with a lesson plan or is not endorsed by the school. The more you know...and knowing is half the battle G.I JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did and like I pointed out in my post, you can still have a prayer thing, the school however cannot endorse it. No one can stop the student from praying nor the people in the crowd the school just can't be behind it.

ill counter your arguments with these

-Fighting over a prayer-
thats lasted 50+ years and means alot to members of the community

-Doesn't actually effect shit on the field-
i believe in god/jesus and asking him to keep both teams safe is important to me and alot of other players

-After the prayer you win some and you lose some- this is true

-Some sensitive bitch couldn't handle it- exactly

-But it was probably you football fags fault because you were probably making fun of some kid with a different religion
wrong it was a person that transferred there that friday that complained cause they moved from a school that didnt pray although they wont come forward everyone knows who it was.

i mean no disrespect here to your beliefs but lets just say you want nothing to do with god right?
how do you feel about money? it has in god we trust on it assuming your US

very good points, if some kid transferred and ruined the tradition then he deserves to get his ass kicked. I do respect what people believe. That's why it would have NEVER bothered me because I am a very tolerant person, but now you just have to suck it up i guess.

EDIT: Yea you can pray if you want but no way in hell can the school endorse it.

Hey, I know it's tough. And the Atheist smart asses definitely aren't helping either. It's the way of the world. Things happen that you don't want to happen. But you still need to get over it, not matter how much you hate what they have done. The government is the government, and unfortunately, until someone has the balls to do something about it, they can do whatever they want.
