I have been searching the internets and the only way that I have seen recommended is to use a capture card, is this the only way?

I know that my laptop has a hdmi out, is there any chance that there is a USB adapter of some sort which gives u a hdmi in port?

I haven't tried doing this before so I just wanted to clear a few things up.
