(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey There
Well, I don't know how many girl members are on this site, but I know there are some. So here is what should happen and how they should be treated. Just my opinion, anyway. No need to hate, but tell me what you think.
From A Member's Perspective:
Well, as a member, flaming, trolling, spamming, provoking, etc. are not allowed. Am I right? Well, why should female members be treated any differently? If they say they are a girl, why should you not believe them and doubt their womenhood? You shouldn't. If a male member joins, do you start trolling and saying things like "Cawk or GTFO GIRL" ? Because I don't see it... I do see "Tits or GTFO" towards females, though. So really, don't do this. It's flaming, and I'm sure a mod wouldn't be too fond of that. Also, don't provoke them. Meaning: "Oh gonna say anything back? No. Just get back to the kitchen" . Won't that cause them to get banned too? Banned members aren't happy members, and unhappy members leave the site. So losing members is on you.
In addition to the fact that you shouldn't flame/provoke/troll girls, you shouldn't kiss their ass, either. Yes, being nice to every member is encouraged, but just because they're female doesn't mean you should be on there side all of the time and kiss up to them. I mean, yea, be friends with the user, but there's no need for that. I've talked to girls on forums before about the issue, and they aren't flattered. So again, be nice and warming and welcome to all of the members on this site, including males, and females.
From A Moderator's Perspective:
To start this off, I would like to say that I'm not telling any member of staff on how to do their job. I'm just giving of what is to be some friendly advice in my opinion. I've been a mod on forums with female members, and I know how to deal with them by now.
Okay, so when it comes to treating them specially and giving them extra warnings; don't. Warn them as needed. Also, ban them as needed. They shouldn't be able to sit in the shoutbox and do back what is done to them. Not funny, cool, flattering, or a manwhore move. So yea, just ban them, as they need it. Again, I'm not telling anyone on how to do their job, but I'm just saying.
After saying that, don't undertreat them. If someone is flaming/trolling/provoking them, do as necessary. Take action. Make sure that the person that gets banned learns his/her lesson. It just isn't right for male members to sit there and be sexist to the female members. Again, just saying.
Female on Female Flame
Females; Just as it is for males, flaming is prohibited for you as well. If you guys have issues with each other, settle it on MSN, or whatever. No need to dirty the shoutbox with flame/trolling because mods will take action. And also, no need to call them things as if you know them in real life. You don't. So be nice
In Conclusion
In conclusion, all female members should be treated equally between staff, males, and other females. Don't flame/provoke/troll them, because mods will take action. Just remember, treat others how you'd like to be treated and make them feel nice and welcome here at NGU. Thanks guys, for reading.
When you come on a gaming forum...shouting that you are a woman...in a shoutbox...full of 12 year olds...you have to expect to be harassed. Its nothing anyone can fix.
And Plus, 95% of the time that someone says they are a girl, they are really an 11 year old that is attention hungry
