(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); A woolly rhino fossil dug up on the Tibetan Plateau is believed to be the oldest specimen of its kind yet found.
The creature lived 3.6 million years ago, Long before similar beasts roamed northern Asia and Europe in the ice ages that gripped those regions.
The discovery team says it might have used its horn as a paddle to sweep snow from vegetation

See, I never understand that. How can someone know how many species there are without knowing them all? Like if we have only discovered so many, how do they know that it's out of X number? Get what I'm saying? If they haven't been discovered, how do they know they exist? Cos Science is all about fact, right. So what are they basing the X number off if they haven't got actual fossil proof?

Anyway, I'd well like to have seen all these ace things. Woolly Rhino, woolly Mammoth, dinosaurs and shit. That would be well cool.

Well they get an average number of species found this year then they see if it has declined or rised and get an estimated time for when it will drop then they add it all up, hard shit to comprehend and im only 14.

But that's like me going around my house and finding, for example, nails a workman left a week ago. So what, I count how many I find say in 1 hour and compare it to how many I found 30 mins ago and see if I have found more or less and that gives me a number to know how many there are?

I don't think so, but if you're right, Scientists are not very smart or Sciency.

Sciency really :dumb:.

Its called an estimate. Its not always right. **** it probably isn't but its just an estimate.
