Same thing happened to me, take it back to gamestop or wal-mart. I'm not sure about Gamestop but I know Wal-mart honors manufacturers warranties so just don't let them know if you've had it over a year.
I'm on my 3rd set of them :\

Just take the earpiece apart and check to make sure the wire is connected to the ear piece and wiggle it to make sure its not shorted

I have Tritton 720Pros and i have to say it gives me no problems.
i paid 130ish for them and if your serious about gaming i suggest you buy the more expensive ones.
I did break the mic off of my headset though but that was my own fault.
Tritton was made mainly for PS3 so if you have xbox you'll have to flip the switch on the wire but thats it.
I highly suggest to buy this one or the more expensive one if you can.

Since this has now became a "Buy a new headset thread" i would suggest picking up the new sony official wireless 7.1 digital surround headset.

Yep exact same thing happened to me. A little later your right one will probably break too.

do you move the headband alot? most likely the wire that goes trough the headband and to the left earphone is getting worn out,this happens by the wire scraping off the the plastic alot (because it only has not even 0.5cm of space) and parts of the copper inside the wire itself getting tiny bumps and gaps in it causing the sound travelling trough it to stop half way to the next earphone.it is a hard thing to fix and usually the fix isint permanent so i would suggest getting a new pair.if you are on ps3 go for the 4gamers cp-pro,just like turtle beach but has less chance of breaking and it costs a good bit less.hope i helped :y:
