Don't post in here expecting people to just accept your opinion and leave you alone, and then get pissy when they don't. That's the whole point of this section; if you don't want it to happen, don't post in here.

Far too often do users flame each other in this section because they don't understand the concept of civil discussion or that others have different views than themselves, and that people come here to argue theirs.

There's no reason a discussion/argument needs to be turned into a flame war. This section isn't about childish Internet bitching, it's about keeping your mind open, learning things, and even teaching.

TL; DR - if you're just going to be a douche, go away.

Lol how do people not know that? You can't 'debate' if you're too stupid to use logic to back it up. And people will use their opinion. Honestly, you cannot do a damn thing about it. Nice thread. A think a lot of it starts because

A) **** it, we're on the internet, we can do it, And
B) It's hard to convey tone of speech and things like that over a forum, and people take things in the worst way.

well said, i have seen so many post opinions thereafter stating "do not reply"

if you want to convey an outrageous opinion in the debate section, then you have to accept the inevitability of a reply & maybe a "debate"
