(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I know Steam is a gaming thing, but what exactly is it? Like you buy full games there and just download them or you have to go to the store and buy the disc? Please help cause I'm really interested in it.

You cant get BF3 on steam, only on Origin.

I like to think of it as iTunes for games. You make a Steam account, download the Steam client, and you can look through the store online using the client. You can buy many games using PayPal or your credit card or whatever, and once you've bought them they go onto your accounts game library. You can then download the games from your library on your PC/Mac (lol). Though I think you can only have your Steam account registered on one PC at a time, but you can change if you get a new PC or something.

You would have to download Origin to get BF3 because BF3 will not be on steam. But you can download other games like COD or L4D directly to your computer
