For the past month or so Blametruth, a Youtube commentator who posts a wide variety of gameplay, has been posting videos regarding his "Scary Pokemon Blue Story". Or atleast that's where it starts. Every since he has posted that first video, which I will link later, some creepy and "paranormal" things have been happening to him. Not only are strange things happening in his save file on Blue, but he has also been experiencing "paranormal activity" in his real life. He has posted a total of 8 videos so far, and the story is gaining more and more suspense. I don't want to spoil the story for you, and nobody can tell it better than Blametruth himself, so here is the link to the first video he posted. Everything he posted after it is relevant to the story (in chronological order).

Now, on with the purpose of this thread. I want to know what you guys think of what's going on. Do you believe it? Is it complete BS? Is he just trying to pull a Halloween prank?
I truly do believe everything that has happened so far, for a few reasons. Firstly, it is my nature to believe someone until they're proven wrong. Although that may not always be the best standpoint, whatever. Secondly, I just don't think someone with such a huge subscriber base would risk losing all of his fans over a little prank. Also, this is arguable, but I think the way he acts in his videos is 100% legitimate reaction. So yeah, that's how I feel about it. One thing is for sure, it's freaking awesome following it and constantly waiting for a new video, or some new theory, ANYTHING.

I've not seen it yet, but I'm going to watch it as it sounds interesting, however I can say already that this is probably nothing more than a guy on YouTube putting a bit of effort into making a cool fictional story with the spike of "found footage" movies with Cloverfield and Paranormal Activity, someone was going to do something similar online at some point. As for him being "legit", maybe he's just a good actor.

The fact is, and I can say this without even having seen the videos. IT'S NOT REAL! If someone paranormal is happening then it is staged. This is a fact. Ghosts, spirits and magic do not exist. This isn't a point of whether I believe the guy who made the video, it's about common sense. I will ASSUME the entire video is intended to be fiction, nothing more and will hopefully enjoy it, however if this guy is honestly trying to pass this off as real, he is either a lair or a con artist (which is basically a lair who gets paid).

Anyway, I'll let you know what I think once I've seen it.

If you think this is fake, then it's very well done!

Fake, no, I don't think it's fake... but I don't think it's supernatural. He's actively messed with the game by catching the MissingNo glitch. It's well known that the MissingNo glitch can really screw up the game. I will admit, the glitches have all been pretty creepy, especially with the whole "whitehand" thing being quite prominent and the colour blue seeming to be linked. It really did creep me out, enough that I swear I even saw my browser glitching during one of the videos. It's amazing what the human brain can come up with though when it's scared or cautious. The hallucinations it'll bring up, where we see faces in shadows or voices in the wind. It's a defence mechanism, psychologically speaking.

I'm not sure honestly if the guy making it is actually believing this is supernatural. I think he's genuinely scared, and honestly believes there's something more to this, but for me, there's just nothing concrete to make me think this is anything "otherworldly". We've got a game glitching in admittedly odd ways that seem connected (but then, if it's the same data that keeps glitching that might make sense). We have a bowl being knocked over, which could be faked or could just be the wind, and lastly we have some broken electronics that happen to be blue which could be a coincidence or it could be staged...

...honestly, if it turned out this was a supernatural entity, great, I'd love for there to be evidence to support another realm or reality, but so far we either have a really good hoax, or a very creepy coincidence. Either way it's very enthralling and I'm looking forward to the next video, I didn't expect it to, but this genuinely creeped me out.

Tornado is right. I've experienced it before, in the situations where you are scared or just being cautious. What happening to BlameTruth is Paranoia taking its effect at its best.
