(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Basically, if you are a British citizen you have now got the chance to be employed by one of the top cyber security firms!

It's as simple as reading through this article - You must login or register to view this content. and entering the online competition they've set.

If you can break the code they've set then you will be redirected to their recruitment page, where you will be asked to fill in some forms.

I've not entered as i am in work atm, but i know there's loads of aspiring computer geeks out there who would love a shot at this.

GCHQ claimed that this was the first time this sort of challenge had ever been conducted by an organisation to target these sorts of skills.

However, the agency has used unusual recruitment methods in the past.

In 2009, it placed video content, themes and downloadable pictures on the Xbox Live network which appeared during Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed and other video games.

Two years earlier, it targeted gamers by placing digital posters in online titles including Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas and Splinter Cell Double Agent.

So, good luck in your journey! (and if you end up getting the job, you can buy me a drink Awesome face)

For those of you still wondering, this is the deciphered code Smile

Pr0t3ct!on#cyber_security@12*12.2011+

Found a guide for how you get it as well:

Stage One
Was an image
With hidden base64 encoded message in it
You needed to dump the hex out of mem

Stage Two
You needed to write a virtual cpu
I found that quite hard
Not done it before
and they hid something in your comp memory

Stage Three
A binary file, which attempted to download a couple of license files you needed to find the links to
its quite complex

Eventually you get this code:

Would be cool if some of you guys actually did this.

Finding a way around it will not impress or deceive, it will get you nowhere in terms of getting a job with GCHQ.

Good luck to any other prospected employees.
