The kid is exaggerating, he clearly stole something and he's acting like a big baby about it.

I saw this ages ago and wasn't sure how I felt, yes it obviously wrong but why would a huge group of people start beating a child like that for no reason he's obviously done something wrong and this is the wrong way to teach him not to do it again.
