If you want a good film there's a few I can suggest.

Inception - Fantastic deep and involved action/sci-fi film. May be a bit too involved for a plane though.
Unknown - Decent thiller action film with Liam Neeson as the lead. Kept me guessing till the end.
Seeking Justice - Good popcorn movie. Suspenseful action with Nicolas Cage doing a good job.
Limitless - Shockingly good well paced action film with a decent but easy to follow storyline.
Wolf Creek - Creepy as hell slasher horror film, starts slow but will have you shitting yourself by the end.
The Loved Ones - Classic style psycho-horror film with some really tense acting. Very good.
Source Code - Really well made sci-fi thriller with a good premise and very good pacing.
Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes - Far better than it should have been, very good sci-fi film.
X-Men: First Class - As close to a perfect super hero movie as you can get, on par with The Dark Knight.
Red Eye - Suspenseful and intense psychological horror that has great atmosphere, especially if you're on a plane.

Those are pretty much all the really good films I've seen in the last 2 months or so that I'd suggest for a plane journey. You could probably get 2-3 films in if you're in the air for a while, so if you do watch a couple of those, let me know what you think.
