Codies' last number one was four years ago with Brian Lara International Cricket 2005, but Ashes Cricket 2009 has been able to outsell that game by almost 3 to 1, becoming the best ever selling cricket title.

The game sold so well that it almost matched the first week sales of EA's Fight Night Round 4.

Sales of Wii Sports Resort are down 49 per cent, but the game's still well ahead of the rest at number two. Strong pricing for Call of Juarez helps the game jump to seventh place, with Disney's film tie-in G-Force climbing 18 places after the film's launch.
