(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Given the exact same big bang, would this universe turn out exactly the same? Would I be typing this right now?

Computer random number generators aren't ENTIRELY random. Although, they ARE pretty unpredictable. Dice rolls aren't random. The dice you roll depends entirely on how you roll the die.

Are subatomic particles truly random? Or is there some force controlling them?

In regards to the "free will" thing, I think some of you are forgetting that our decisions and thoughts take place in our brains, and that our brains are "just" collections of particles. The behavior of these particles is determined by physical laws. If those laws were deterministic, then free will could be ruled out entirely.

If that universe has the same laws as this one. It likely to be similar.
Problem comes with the fact we can only predict where particles are likely to be. There is a force which controls sub atomic particles but we don't know how it works.

Truly random depends on how you look at it. The fact we can half predict it means it not truly random but fact we have to guess means it is.
I believe that certain thing are random which helped create this world but things within it are not random.

I just found this while scrolling through bigthink videos. I generally don't like Michio Kaku because he tends to make physics seem like some mystical subject and he can be misleading, but this video sums things up pretty well.

Do a barrel roll!
The essence of nature is mathematical. There is a hidden meaning beneath reality. Things are organized following a model, a scheme, a logical series. Even the tiny snowflake includes a numerical basis in its structure, therefore, if we manage to discover the secret meaning of numbers, we will know the secret meaning of reality.
