Can't believe the statistics given. It's an absolute shambles to think that people who have upheld our economy and country for the last 60/70 years are treated in this way. And the government and other parties wonder why there is a dislike towards them and foreigners in this country. If the two were relative by comparison, then i'm sure there would be different views towards immigrants in Britain. Things like this just exacerbate situations worse.
I personally have no issues with foreigners and them helping our economy, but I do have an issue with the government and their clear lack of care towards the elderly. It's almost when you retire that's it, they want you dead and gone so you're not a leech on society. That's despite the last 50years of NI payments and tax you've paid.
Disgusted.

What are your thoughts? Do you think racism in Britain would be less so/common if certain issues such as this were made right, as in be relative? No racist bullshit in this thread.

It's sickening that OAP's have paid a big chunk of their wage for it to go to foreigners instead of themselves. This country is $#@!ed. Immigrants get MORE than a soldier. Starting wage is 17k and they risk their lives while immigrants get 25k for doing nothing. It also sickens me when Teachers and civil servants who sit in warm officers/rooms all day go on strike about their wages being too low at 25+k, while soldiers HAVE to get on with it, sleeping in the cold (if they sleep) and risk their lives for these people who go on strike.
Immigrants shouldn't get any special help to get a job either. They should have to struggle like everyone else. I've been unemployed for ages. I'm sending CV's off left right and centre and hear nothing back. Yet someone who came into the country less than a month ago get's a job.
Our country cares too much about having a good image to the outside world, but don't give two shits about the people in it. People take everything for granted in our country, as I have explained. I was working a shit job. I hated it, but I knew at least I had a job where as some people don't. I didn't take it for granted like civil servants do who go on strike because 30k isn't enough for them, somehow.
We need a massive reform in our country. I didn't vote last time, I regret that now because of how shit this government is. Next time I am going to vote and I hope the Tories don't get back in. I think we either need a Queen with power, like it used to be, or a President. What we have right now isn't working. And this just goes to show how $#@!ed up Britain is.

Racism plays a part because we hear examples and think that it common or how a group acts
Much like during WW2 jews was hunted down because the germans believed they was well off and doing better then them.
Fact was only a small group was and the rest quite poor.
People hear the number 25K and think my god but in reality it only like 1,000 people doing it.
It time for a massive think in a number of areas.
First how we see wealth..and use it. The gap between rich and poor should be closed and rich should help the poor more. Or we get a great deal of problems.
Rich should help build community centers and invest in people. Poor should be given more rights. The rich for far too long have been getting too much of the pie. Am ok with success but they should do something with it.
Second how we change how we work benefits. benefits should not be the only way we help people. It won't fix the problem and costs us far more.
We should support people but it should not be the only option on the table.
Third state and private should work together at fixing these problems and helping solve them. Both going against each other does not work.
We just need a massive rethink in how to solve these problems and not stuck in ideology BS
Decisions should be done out in the open for all to see.

This is pitiful, seriously, how can any government in their right mind not want to fix this. I'm an immigrant but I've been in Canada since I was 6 months old and my dad has been working his @$$ off here for 20 or so years. I get ridiculously furious every time I see illegal immigrants try to enter the country and they get Goddamn medical care. My dad doesn't get raped by income taxes to help criminals; my dad and I want to see the country improve not send a global message saying "Hey, if you're going to immigrate illegally, why not choose Canada or Britain? We pay you more and give out free healthcare". Maybe they should try to enter the country legally with permission, so you know, they're not on the verge of dying. What kind of idiotic country values people who break the law over people that break their backs for years paying income taxes and other forms of taxes and make valuable contributions to economy? Maybe it's because all of the hard-workers have retired and no longer serve in employment whilst the immigrants can still work. That being said, how can such large contributions just be forgotten. Times like this that make me think that tax fraud is a good thing; if the government is going to behave like a bunch of morons, they better not get their grubby hands on some hard earned cash. Speaking of tax fraud, try Swiss banks; I hear they tell you ways of illegally off-shoring your money and committing tax fraud.
