Now this thread is a poll to see what reputation system YOU prefer, the current, the one we have now, etc. etc.
Please keep in mind that this is just a general consensus to see what you all prefer, and if one 'wins' the poll, that doesn't mean that system is being enacted. We're just looking for opinions.
Personally, I believe the best reputation system to be the one that was here when I joined - Not regulated at all. No +/- cap truly let members get what they deserve out of their hard work or bad posts. The more effort you put into things, the more effort you'd get out of them. It promoted activity in my eyes, and that is how I would want it to be now. Rep boosters or people who exploit and abuse it would have a more harsh punishment.

Make it where there's no bitching to admins or mods about rep. But make it like the new gamebattles rules, you can't remove your gamertag. So it's final!

I've been here long enough to see a few rep changes and I like the idea of allowing users to go uncapped and get the full reward for good posts. If this is going to happen, rep boosting should be watched closely.

Just an idea, how about we set the max at like 250 and get rid of the thanks and groans. But every new "thank'' is worth that thanks rep power. Get it? So we still have prestiges.

Rep boosters were usually dealt with pretty quickly on the old rep system. The only real reason it was removed was due to the complaints about -rep. That led to -rep being capped, then +rep being capped, the capped levels being changed and tampered with until the point where they butchered the +/- to the point where it's at now, where it doesn't cause any complaints because it simply isn't worth enough to complain about

It was the best system, fags got no rep or rep taken from them very easily. the highest rep members (DEREK, Dopey and so on) gave rep when they felt it was needed.
Rep prestiges are the biggest load of shit iv seen introduced to the site (this is an opinion thread and thats mine) I hate them. I liked the stars, and the way they were set out, i was aiming for a gold before the site changed the rep system and i probably would of got one if i still went for it, but i just didnt bother cause of rep prestiges and the stars markers were lowered so i have one now anyway.
Go back to the classic system. let the bitched bitch and the haters hate, why would we care what they think anyway?
