But I just wanted some outside perspective as to what possibilities there
are for a career in journalism. I am currently a Computer Science major, and I like it
because it's an extremely rewarding career, but I don't know if it's right for me.

Writing however is like a passion to me and I love to do it, so I was possibly thinking of switching
my major to journalism. I would just like some insight as to what you guys think. And also if you have
a career in the field, or know someone that does, tell me what they do and how they feel about what they
do. I know I'm not going to find many people who have a career in writing on here, but anything to help
is much appreciated.
Thanks!

I think it is great to have a passion in something, I do not want to say anything about your skills but first, I think you should make your own blog or something like that and see how that goes because you might end up not being very good at it. But, if you actually good, it would be great since doing something you love as a job is great!

I have a minor in Web Technology in which I'll be doing some more web programming, development, and design. I started designing
my own blog actually which is going to be my first project once I actually learn the harder parts of HTML. I guess in a way, the blog
will support both of my interests.

Try and get some work experience at your local paper or whatever, it'll give you an idea of it - at the very least.

I've always thought about that, but writing for a newspaper is more strict. Check this site out. You must login or register to view this content. I love the way they
write their articles. Its concise, informative, and often humorous as well. I feel as though their writing is more relaxed. That's the style of writing I want to get into.
