Personally, I use a HD PVR and TurtleBeach p11. But alot of people like Trittons. But for recording I'd stick with the HD PVR, don't use Dazzle or any other shit. :y:

If by headset you mean gaming or to record your voice? I recommend the following buy a used PVR ( try ebay or craiglist) , and buying a blue snowball on amazon . Now torrents will be your best friend , download sony vegas ( if your windows) , or download final cut ( if your mac) . Also, i would recommend to do commentaries at a comfortable time , in a good environment , and to be knowledgeable in the topics you speak about . Be original and i wish you the best of luck .

I use TurtleBeach Dpx21's 7.1 surround sound, there great although those wires can be annoying. and the best HD PVR is Hauppauge PVR

If you're really looking to start with great things so you don't need to update you should get the HD PVR and Astros A40 you can get Tritton's but they break after a year, another thing is that Tritton's are more customizable for games like CoD or any other that use voice chat.

I personally use a HD PVR to record my gameplay and then I use Tritton AX 720's to record my gameplays. I've heard that snowball microphones are amazing for commentaries. However, if you're just starting out then you don't need to spend lots of money on the equipment because there are free Programmes, such as Audacity, which allow you to remove background noise, etc. Therefore allowing you to provide high quality commentaries without spending lots of money.
Hope i helped.
