(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Personally, I highly doubt it. It's just not the same experience, I love having a giant 42" HD display and just letting off some steam when getting home. What do you guys think?

Agreed, gaming on portable devices to me is for well...when you can't carry a console..say a family trip, at school, at work etc...
At home, a big-screen TV+ current-gen console beats portable devices any day.

I am with CTD and thats why I don't buy a portable. The only time I would use it is in the bathroom so its not worth the price. If I am at home and I had a choice between a little screen or my 50 inch plasma. I know which choice I am going to make everytime Smile

With reading the title only I'm going to assume that you mean phones such as blackberry and iPhone, I know you're also on about PS Vita and shit but lets forget about them..

I play on my iPhone 4S every day, different games etc. I downloaded F1 the other day, cost me £0.69, anyway it took SO long to download which I think was down to the processors and I've heard from many different people that the iPhone doesn't have enough processing ability or whatever the fuck, I'm not into technical shit, but if that is the case then that means we wouldn't be able to play games such as BF3 online, MW3 online, Fifa 12 online etc. Yes, these companies may (some already have) release there games in the future but I highly doubt they'll be able to go online and communicate with the modern world.

Now if that's the future of gaming, then I don't want to be apart of it. I kinda like getting in short arguments with little squeaky pricks about their bedtime. It's not as fun on your own, you don't have anything to showcase.

Therefore I don't think they will go back to the past in the future by making you game by yourself.

Do a barrel roll!
If it is, gaming will stop for me i think....
I bought a psp because i need & must have one, result: I played with it for a month, and i never turned it on again :(
The same with my android device, i really wanted a smartphone to play a few games on it, used it one month, and now i only use it for tetxing.
Ps3/Ps2/PsOne: Played on my PsOne & 2 till they were broken, my Ps3 i still play it everyday, and if he is broken, i'm just going to buy a new one.
=> TV+Console+couch+ controller = WIN

On the contrary, portable gaming as we know it is dying, being replaced by IOS and Android games
