(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello! I am currently going over the idea whether to open my own sort of business and run a shop that specialises in video games, gaming accessories and other such things. I wanted to gain some input from you guys, so if you could reply with a quote to the following questions that'd be great.

1. Where do you buy your video games, accessories e.g. headsets, chargers etc?
2. How much do you pay on a video game on average?
3. Do you buy pre-owned games or products?
4. Do you pre-order games? If so, what for? Is there often a extra incentive making you do so?
5. Do you prefer buying games from the shop or over the internet?
6. Could you tell me some of the things you would like to find in a new shop if one was decided to be created?
7. What is the next game you are going to buy, and how much does it cost?
8. What console do you play on?
9. Do you believe in paying more for a product to have it right now when it is in stock?
10. What are your views on delivery costs?

Thanks so much for at least reading this thread, your answers will be hugely appreciated and would help me to construct a more conclusive idea of making a business.

Yes.

I only ever pre-order if I want the special/limited edition of the game. Otherwise, I don't bother because there are so many different places I can get the game if one store doesn't have it.

I would much prefer buying games at a store, even if it costs a bit more. This is because I know there will be no hassles should the disc be defective. Also, returning it is much easier should you change your mind.

A huge range of games is a must if you ask me. Friendly and helpful staff plus attractive interior design to top it off. Must sell pre-paid cards for PSN and Xbox etc...

Assassin's Creed III - Freedom Edition. I am going to preorder it and it costs $128 from my local game store.

9. Do you believe in paying more for a product to have it right now when it is in stock?

Yes, this is one of the reasons I prefer to buy from stores.

They are needed for the seller to make some profit on the sale but customers do not like the extra cost added to their bill. Especially when they could have had the game the same day from a shop, at a lower cost. Personally, sellers should try to ship their goods for free, but this is not realistic. Encourage bulk orders for free shipping Winky Winky
