Pretty sure it works this way at most of the game stores that offer trade-in services:

1) You trade in game(s) for (x) amount of money
2) You get given store credit to the value of total sum of the worth of the games you traded in
3) That can be used to buy anything in the store

I have been to a Gamestop during my time in the USA. Gamestop owns EB Games which is what we have here and I assume it is the same.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Do a barrel roll!
You recieve in-store credit with which you may spend on whatever you like...

Yes you can, but keep in mind that they will only give you in-store credit and the trade in value is not equal to the actually resale value of the game.

You must login or register to view this content. <-- Try using this website for to check what Eb games as well as best buy and a few other stores will give you for your games. Note that this is for Canadians but this should give you a rough estimation. Hope this helped.

What southern said is correct, your better off (if you can wait) selling your game elsewhere then using the cash to buy the game on a site like Amazon or Ebay,
