I'm not 100% sure, but I think you are going to have to solder some shit, but I do believe it will let you downgrade. Check out this thread, it shows you what you are going up against. Also, he states that you can ask for help if you need any :y:. You must login or register to view this content.

You won't need to solder, but you'll need to open up your PS3 and get access to the motherboard itself. But there have been a lot of reports saying people have been waiting over 12 months for their E3 to arrive, so it makes me wary of ordering it since it quite a bit of money. However if you do buy it here is a tutorial on how to install it:
