When you watch news on TV, have you ever noticed which international topics are highlighted within the first few minutes of the broadcast? The most common topics include war, conflict, disputes, peacekeepers and the involvement of international organizations and various countries.

-their reasons for involvement
Geopolitics also describes how nations exert their influence over their own people and other nations in order to achieve greater international power

Our geopolitical landscape is constantly changing as a result of innovative communication technologies, high-tech weapons and surveillance devices, international trade agreements and the emergence of new political and economic structures.
These forces of globalization and modernization present new challenges to governments and organizations.
Sometimes these changes lead to conflict within or between states... it is these conflicts which make the news headlines and are worth exloring in more depth; their causes, effects and possible solutions are very complex.
